Episode 4 - Saat Phere
Saloni and Neel are depressed and remember the good times they had spent together. However, Saloni feels bad when she recalls how her mother, Ambica, had insulted Neel when he'd sung a song on Shubra's birthday. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Neel quits his job and decides to leave the city. Aapji, Neel's caretaker, encourages Neel to face the situation. However, he feels sorry for Neel all the same, and decides to do something for him. Aapji then meets Saloni's parents and requests them to consider Neel and Saloni's alliance. Ambica gets furious and chides Aapji. She insults him and shows him the door. She also warns him of dire consequences if Neel ever tries to meet Saloni. Aapji feels humiliated and walks out. However, he is shocked when he sees Neel near the door.
Episode 5 - Saat Phere
A furious Neel accuses Ambica of stealing Saloni's happiness. Ambica loses her cool, but before she can say anything, Neel walks away. Ambica then tells Gayatri not to tell Saloni about this confrontation. Later, Shubra taunts Saloni saying that her fianc looks like an uncle as he is quite older than her. Saloni feels bad, but does not say anything. Ambica feels elated when Padma phones her and tells her that her son, Kunjan (Chaitanya Adib) is interested in taking Saloni out for dinner. Ambica tells her that she has no objection. Saloni does not approve of this and tells Ambica that she does not wish to go out anywhere with Kunjan, but Ambica manages to convince her. Meanwhile, Samar is shocked when Kaveri tells him that she will die if he does not marry her. Later, while having dinner, Saloni is taken aback to see Neel singing. Neel gets depressed to see Saloni with Kunjan. Saloni feels uncomfortable when Kunjan tries to kiss her and get physical. Neel loses his cool and tries to stop Kunjan from misbehaving, but Kunjan gets irked with this intrusion and both have a brawl.
Episode 6 - Saat Phere
Saloni is shocked to see Neel and Kunjan fighting, and before things can go worse, she intervenes and takes Kunjan away. However, Saloni is shocked when Kunjan asks her to accompany him to his friend's farmhouse and watch some adult movies together. An infuriated Saloni gets out of his car and returns home. Ambica is shocked when Saloni comes home crying. Saloni tells Ambica everything about the incident. Ambica consoles Saloni, but at the same time tells her to forget everything as they can't afford to break her alliance. The next day, Kaveri meets Shubra and she tells her that she can't live without Samar. Shubra then instigates Samar and tells him that he is just being made a scapegoat. Shubra urges Samar not to waste his entire life for Saloni, who is not serious about her alliance with Kunjan. Later, at the time of Samar's engagement, everyone is shocked when he arrives with Kaveri and announces that he has married her.
Episode 7 - Saat Phere
Vijay Singh accuses Narpat of maligning their image and walks away. An infuriated Narpat chides Samar for betraying their trust. Kaveri tries to apologise to Ambica, but she accuses her of misleading Samar. In a fit of rage, Narpat throws Samar out of his house and forbids him from ever coming back. Meanwhile, Neel gets excited when he is approached by Rewa Sehgal (Barkha Madan), a famous music director. Aapji is equally elated when Neel informs him about this. Neel tells him that he will be leaving for Mumbai to work with Rewa. On the other hand, Kaveri is fuming with anger, but her father, Chaudhary, calms her down and assures that everything will be soon all right. Saloni is shocked when Shubra holds her responsible for everything. In order to ease her parents' burden, Saloni meets Padma with a request to waive off her demand for dowry.
Episode 8 - Saat Phere
Padma gets furious with Saloni's request and makes it clear that she will not change her mind. In a fit of rage, Saloni returns the engagement ring and thus calls off her engagement with Kunjan. Kunjan is shocked and forces Saloni to apologise. However, Saloni slaps him and walks away. On the other hand, Manno Bhabhi tries to convince Narpat to accept Kaveri as her father is willing to give more dowry than Vijay Singh. However, before Narpat can make his mind, Padma calls Ambica and informs about Saloni's misbehaviour. Ambica is taken aback and chides Saloni but Saloni does not repent her action. Later, Ambica feels relieved when Manno Bhabhi informs her that Padma is willing to make Saloni her daughter-in-law, only if Saloni apologises to her. However, everyone is shocked when Saloni refuses to bow.
Episode 9 - Saat Phere
Ambica gets furious and chides Saloni for making the blunder. She asks Saloni to apologise to Padma, but Saloni remains adamant. However, Saloni reluctantly agrees when Narpat requests her. Ambica feels relieved and asks Narpat to forgive Samar and call him back, but Narpat does not listen to her. Nevertheless, Manno Bhabhi assures Ambica that she will manage everything and takes her to meet Chaudhary. On the other hand, Neel reaches Mumbai and meets Rewa. Meanwhile, Ambica feels pleased when Chaudhary tells her that he can give 4 million as dowry if they accept Kaveri. Ambica indirectly assures Chaudhary that she will do the needful. Meanwhile, Padma tells Kunjan that Saloni's parents are now willing to give 4 lacs more as dowry and advises him to accept the alliance. She further tells him that he can take revenge from Saloni once she is married to him. Later, Ambica and Narpat apologise to Padma and request her to revive the alliance of Saloni and Kunjan. However, when Saloni tries to apologise by touching Padma's feet, Padma insults Saloni by moving her feet back.
Episode 10 - Saat Phere
Saloni apologises to Padma, but Padma continues to insult her. Padma then throws the engagement ring and Saloni humbly picks it up and wears it. Narpat and Ambica are also shocked but remain silent. Later, in order to arrange enough money for Saloni's marriage, Narpat meets Mohanlal, a moneylender, but returns dejected. The next day, Narpat goes against his principles and accepts bribe from one of his clients. Meanwhile, Saloni meets Samar and confronts him for going against their father, but Kaveri intervenes and tells Saloni that she is responsible for everything. Saloni is shocked when Kaveri tells her that to arrange enough money for her dowry Samar was forced to marry with a girl of a questionable character. On the other hand, Chaudhary meets Narpat at his office and requests him to accept Samar and Kaveri, but Narpat refuses. At the same juncture, officers from the anti-corruption bureau walk into his office, leaving Narpat shocked as he had accepted the bribe.

She is committed to all her marital vows taken when she and her husband made seven rounds around the fire during the nuptial ceremony. And notwithstanding the ridicule and discrimination she continues to face, the talented Saloni succeeds in creating a new identity for herself.
