Vasishtha Rushi names Dasharath's sons as Rama, Lakshmana, Bharat and Shatrughna. Lord Vishnu tells Shankar and Brahma about the purpose of his incarnation as Rama. The siblings visit Vasishtha Rushi.

At the Gurukul, Ram and his brothers miss their parents and embark on their education journey. Vashisht enlightens them about the virtue of 'Raghukul' and instils a sense of responsibility in them.

Everyone rejoices as Rama and his brothers return from their Gurukul. Stating his problems, Vishvamitra puts forth a request to King Dasharath. Rama-Lakshmana accompany Vishvamitra to Siddhashrama.

Ram kills Tadaka as instructed by Vishwamitra. Marich and Subahu obstruct the ‘yagna’ at Siddhasram, so Ram kills Subahu. Vishwamitra asks Rama and Lakshman to accompany him to Mithila.

Ram frees Ahilya from the curse at Vishwamitra's command. Ram, Lakshman and Vishwamitra reach Mithila. Admiring Ram, Janak expresses his fear to his wife, Sunayana. Ram and Sita come face to face.

Sita rejoices upon receiving the Goddess' blessings. Ram tells Lakshman about his feelings for Sita. Sita's 'Swayamvara' begins. Sita's sister expresses fear to her, as no one completes the challenge.

At Vishwamitra's request, Ram accepts the challenge. Sita offers prayers to Parvati and rejoices as Ram succeeds. Parashuram arrives in fury as Rama breaks Shiva's bow at the 'Swayamvara'.

At Ram's behest, Vishwamitra makes a proposal to Janak. Urmila overhears Lakshman telling Ram about his marriage decision. Banasur arrives at Janak's palace with the intent to abduct Sita.

Based on Shatnanda's prediction for Ram, Vashishtha advises Janak and Dashrath to get Ram and Sita married at a specific time. The gods strategise to prevent the aftermath of the marriage.
