Yash is a widower while Aarti is a divorcee and their families decide to get them married. With passing time, Yash and Aarti fall in love and realise that their marriage is a blessing in disguise

Aarti recollects the moments spent with her ex-husband Prashant and for a moment imagines him to be around her. Aarti gets irritated when she finds a petal of flower entangled in her hair and curses the person who showered flowers on her instead of the bride and groom. Pratik enquires with Yash about the girl on whom he mistakenly showered flowers. He jokingly asks Yash if he liked the girl much to Yash's displeasure Vidhi shows some photographs of prospective brides and asks Yash to select one. When Yash refuses to select any girl to get remarried, Vidhi tries to convince him. Yash's aunt, who is a widow, overhears their conversation. She feels upset as the family wanted Yash to remarry but none ever considered remarriage for her. Yash, however, is firm on his decision and states that nobody would ever take his wife, Arpita's position in his life. Arpita had died three years back. Meanwhile, Shobha tries to convince Aarti to get remarried for the sake of her son Ansh. Aarti refuses to get remarried and states that she was capable of taking care of Ansh all by herself and did not need anybody's support. Meanwhile, Yash's mother Amma too tries to convince him to consider remarriage for the sake of his daughters. She tries to explain to him how growing daughters needed a mother to share their joys and worries. Shobha continues to convince Aarti by stating that Ansh everyday wrote a letter to his father with the hope that his father would fulfill his demands. Aarti states that she fulfilled all of Ansh's demands. However, Shobha points out that Ansh was living with a false hope that one day his father would come to meet him. She asks Aarti to think about the day Ansh would realize that she lied to him about his father. Aarti, however, refuses to relent and states that she was happy with her son and would continue to fulfill all his demands and be a mother and father to him. Yash is left in a dilemma and is unable to decide whether to remarry or remain single. He believes that he would never be able to accept any other woman as his wife. Yash is also worried whether the woman he remarries would ever become an able mother to his daughters and take care of them.

Satyendra returns home and decides to send Aarti's photograph to the Scindia family. Shobha does not agree with Satyendra's decision of not informing Yash's mother, Gayatri that Aarti was a divorcee. While proposing marriage to Aarti on behalf of Yash, Gayatri had made it clear that she would get her son married to a widow but would never accept a divorcee. Gayatri is unaware about Aarti's past. Satyendra tries to convince Shobha by stating that after Prashant divorced Aarti, they supported Aarti, instead of their son. He tells Shobha that Prashant would neither realize his mistake nor would return home. He reminds her about the difficulties that they had to face after Prashant deserted them. Satyendra adds that he wants to see Aarti and Ansh happy and so he has taken such a decision. He also asks Shobha to talk to Aarti about the proposal. Shobha, however, is unconvinced with Satyendra's decision. Meanwhile, Aarti arrives. Scindia family, except Yash, discusses about Aarti's proposal for Yash. Gayatri convinces her husband to accept the proposal as she believes that Aarti can take care of Palak and Payal after the marriage. Pankaj requests his father to talk to Yash about it. Yash's father summons him and tries to convince him to get remarried. He informs Yash about Aarti's proposal. He also asserts that he wants Yash to accept the proposal. Before leaving, Yash's father keeps Aarti's photograph on the table but Yash does not look at it. Shobha informs Aarti about Yash's proposal and tries to convince her to meet him. Shobha rejoices when Aarti states that she would give a thought to the proposal. Pankaj is happy on learning that Yash has agreed to get remarried. Pankaj expresses his happiness to Yash. Yash tells Pankaj that, however, he still loves Arpita and would never forget her. Shobha is shocked on learning that the Scindia family has refused to accept Ansh. Shobha does not agree and asks Satyendra to reject the proposal. She believes that Aarti would never accept the proposal, if she learns about it. Aarti feels upset when she overhears their conversation.

Aarti feels upset when she overhears their conversation. Satyendra and Shobha get shocked when they see Aarti. A furious Aarti rejects Yash's proposal as she does not want to separate from Ansh. She questions Shobha on how she could even think of accepting Scindia family's demand. Aarti threatens to commit suicide, if Shobha and Satyendra tried to separate her from Ansh. Shobha tries to pacify Aarti but fails. After Aarti leaves, Shobha decides to call up Gayatri and reject Yash's proposal. Gayatri informs her husband that she has told Satyendra that they would not accept Ansh. Yash overhears their conversation. Meanwhile, Shobha calls up Gayatri. Gayatri receives the call and does not realize that the call is connected. At that time, Yash tells his father that he would not marry the woman who agrees to separate from her son. He explains that the woman who can separate from her own biological child will never be able to take care of her step-daughters. Yash's father too agrees and states that they would accept both the Aarti and her son. Shobha overhears their conversation and gets surprised. After Yash leaves, Gayatri informs Shobha about her husband's decision. She also accepts the alliance and asks Shobha to select a mahurat. Gayatri, however, is unconvinced with her husband's decision. Her husband tries to convince her saying that they would do a favor on Aarti by accepting Ansh and thus that she never went against them and always danced to their tunes. After overhearing Yash's conversation, Shobha believes that Yash was a well cultured person and would take care of Aarti and Ansh. Shobha, however, is worried and does not have the to convince Aarti to accept the proposal. Next morning, Shobha writes a letter to Aarti to apologize to her as well as convince her. Aarti reads the letter, which informs her about Yash's father's decision. Aarti is on her way to drop Ansh to the school. Yash, who is in his car, is also on the same road. Aarti rides her scooty behind Yash's car but is unaware about Yash. Ansh is getting late for his school and so Aarti continuously blows the horn.

Ansh's school organizes a sports day for parents. Aarti decides to participate in the three-legged race along with Ansh. Aarti has to compete with the fathers of other children. When Ansh's teacher refuses to enroll Aarti's name at first, she convinces him. She tells him that she would participate as Ansh does not have a father. When Aarti enrolls her name, the other competitors pass comments on her. They state that a woman was challenging them. They also underestimate Aarti and state that she can never complete the race. Aarti overhears their conversation and gets furious. Meanwhile, Mansi arrives and overhears the conversation. She encourages Aarti to participate in the race. During the event, Aarti and Ansh start off well but in the middle of the race, Aarti trips over her dupatta and falls down. Meanwhile, the other competitors move ahead. Aarti somehow manages to get up and complete the race but does not win. Ansh blames Aarti for losing the race. Aarti apologizes to him but an upset Ansha walks away. The other competitors, who had passed comments on Aarti, taunt her again saying that she should not compete with men in the future. Pratik calls up their assistant, Shukla and asks him to make special arrangements for his and Yash's wedding. Pratik's aunt overhears his conversation and gets furious. Vidhi gives credit to Pratik for convincing Yash. She teases Pratik as he would soon get married since Yash had agreed to get remarried. Pratik had vowed that he would not marry until Yash gets married again. Yash recollects Gayatri's advice to get remarried as Palak and Payal needed a mother to take care of them. On the other hand, Aarti also recollects Shobha's advice to get remarried as Ansh needs a father, who will take care of him in the future. Aarti doubts whether Yash would accept Ansh and take his responsibility. Yash, on the other hand, is keener on a loving mother to his two daughters than a companion for him.

Mansi tries to convince Aarti to get remarried. She also tries to make Aarti understand that Prashant would never return to her life. She requests Aarti to accept Yash's proposal for the sake of Ansh's happiness. On the other hand, Yash is also worried about his daughter. Shobha and Satyendra are surprised when Aarti accepts Yash's proposal. Shobha shares her happiness with Aarti and decides to distribute sweets. Meanwhile, someone calls up on Aarti's landline number. Aarti is taken aback when she receives the call and hears the voice. Shobha gets worried when she notices Aarti and therefore picks up the phone receiver. Shobha is shocked when she hears her son Prashant at the other end. Satyendra too is shocked. With a heavy heart, Shobha sternly questions Prashant why he called them up. When Prashant expresses desire to talk to Satyendra, Shobha does not allow him and instead tells him not to call them up in future. She states that they have broken all ties with him after he divorced Aarti and deserted them. Prashant is surprised when Shobha informs him that they have decided to get Aarti remarried. Later, Aarti misses Prashant and cries inconsolably. Shobha tries to pacify Aarti and advises her to forget Prashant. Aarti refuses to forget Prashant and confesses that she still loves him.

Shobha asks Aarti to move on in life and forget Prashant. She states that Prashant does not care whether they were dead or alive. Aarti gets upset and makes Shobha promise her that she would never speak about their death in the future. Shobha too makes Aarti promise that she would forget Prashant and accept Yash's marriage proposal. Palak and Payal share their apprehension with Yash. Payal tells Yash that Palak fears that their step-mother would ill-treat them. Ansh tells Aarti that he is upset with her as she has not fulfilled his wish. Aarti and Shobha get apprehensive when Ansh asks her when he would meet his father. Aarti begins to cry on hearing Ansh's statement. Shobha smartly handles the situation and tells Ansh that very soon he would meet his father. An excited Ansh naively asks Shobha what was his father's name. Shobha replies that his father's name was Yash Scindia. Aarti gets stunned on hearing it. Satyendra tells Yash's father that they must perform the roka ceremony without further delay. Yash's father tells Satyendra that he would confirm the date with the pundit and inform him. Gayatri who is angry at her family for accepting Aarti's condition to accept her son Ansh after marriage gets upset hearing about the progress in the alliance. Yash's father asks Gayatri not to broach the topic in front of Yash as he fears that his son may back out from marrying Aarti. He states that he would not spare her if such behavior was repeated. Yash's father decides to hold Prateik and Paridhi's wedding along with Yash and Aarti's wedding. Prateik, who overhears their conversation, gets elated. Without wasting time, Prateik informs Paridhi about their marriage. Paridhi expresses her excitement to Prateik.
