Susmita carries out the Ashtami Puja at home while Arya's mother performs the same puja for his well-being. Elsewhere, Apu learns about Arya's brother Arko and his mother through the slam book.

Meera asks Mansi for an account of her expenses, which annoys her. Mansi's remarks hurt Arya at the dinner table. Apu grows curious about Arya's marital status while Arya's mother learns about Apu.

Mansi is furious when Meera gives her INR 2 lakhs instead of 15 lakhs for parlour expenses. On Ashtami night, Apu has an unsettling dream. Arya's mother surprises Kinkor by enquiring about Apu.

Apu tells Arya she isn’t ready for marriage. Later, she opens up about her feelings, but Arya fails to hear her. Mansi becomes curious about Apu, and Soteenath rejects Shombhu's proposal.

Arya's mother intends to meet Apu. Elsewhere, Susmita and Soteenath argue over Apu’s marriage. Arya invites Apu for lunch when he finds her sitting alone in the office.

A hurt and upset Apu refuses to eat Arya's food. Soteenath, Susmita and Apu spend a sleepless night battling hunger and hardship. Later, Arya tells Apu that he's aware of her feelings for him.

Susmita anxiously tells Apu that Roteen has fired Soteenath, who then roams the streets seeking work. Arya scolds Meera for insulting Apu. Later, Apu and Susmita find a tearful Soteenath.

Apu agrees to marry Sontu, and despite being hurt by her decision, Arya pretends to be happy in front of everyone. At home, Mansi mocks Arya while his mother notices his uneasiness.

Arya’s crying in solitude deeply worries his mother. Shombhu tells Soteenath that he wants to rush the wedding. Apu intends to meet Meera privately. Kinkor warns Meera when he suspects her plotting.

Susmita informs Arya about Apu's Aashirbaad ceremony. Both Apu and Arya feel a deep emotional ache for each other. Arya’s mother notices his discomfort, yet he attends Apu's Aashirbaad ceremony.
